OUR COMMITMENT
Luengo Color, S.L.U. is committed to respect, protect the environment and to prevent pollution. We work and invest in minimizing as much as possible the magnitude and environmental impact of the activity, products and services of our company.
PLASTIC REDUCTION
We are committed to a new medium-capacity packaging with less plastic input, easy handling and cost reduction in waste management.
This change of packaging means a reduction of plastic of 60%. By 2023, we aim to reduce more than 17 Tm of plastic compared to 2022.
FUEL REDUCTION
Renewal of our fleet of vehicles by hybrid vehicles for our commercial department.
Installing an electric charging point for electric or hybrid rechargeable vehicles.
GREEN ENERGY
We have made a large investment in a photovoltaic installation of 547 solar panels with a power of 270kW and 3 inverters for 100% green, self-generated and self-consumed energy, without losses in its transmission and without going through the electricity grid, which represents a reduction of 182 tons per year of CO2
CLEANING WATER RECOVERY
In 2022, we installed a new evaporator to recover 100% of the wastewater and reuse between 8,000 and 10,000 liters per day in the production process.
CLEANING SOLVENT RECOVERY
In 2021, a solvent distiller was acquired. It allows us to recover all the cleaning solvent and reduce consumption and environmental impact, avoiding buying between 15 and 20 tons per year. This internal process saves the shipment of waste to treatment plants.
