PIGMENT DISPERSIONS IN POLYMERS AND PLASTICIZERS.

The Luengopol range from Luengo Color S.L.U. is made up of different families of products classified according to the formulation base used. The aim of this is to ensure the greatest compatibility and colour acceptance with the final application of our customers' products.

All the product families in the Luengopol range are solvent-free in their formulation and are developed with pigments that have excellent resistance to outdoor and ultraviolet radiation. This, therefore, prolongs the durability and stability of the colour in applications exposed to the elements.

All Luengo Color S.L.U. products are subject to strict quality controls to meet their color specifications and physicochemical parameters. In this way, we can ensure maximum reproducibility and color accuracy between different manufacturing batches.

Luengopol families

LUENGOPOL DL

•    The products in the Luengopol DL range are dispersions of organic and inorganic pigments on a glycerine-initiated, ethylene oxide-blocked, propoxylated polyether polyol (triol) with a molecular weight of 4700, medium reactivity and a high degree of compatibility with different polyurethane systems.

•    The main applications of these products are polymer coatings, polyurethane foams, polyurea systems, adhesives and sealants, RIM (reaction injection moulding) and pultrusion processes. To ensure optimum compatibility, the water content of the system should be kept below 0.05%. Furthermore, the use of solvents with free hydroxyl groups in combination with these products is not recommended so as to guarantee the stability of the formulations and avoid undesired reactions.

•    The products in the Luengopol DL range can be offered as unit dispersions within a customised tinting system or formulated end products that conform to the main market charts, such as RAL and NCS. It is also possible to develop exclusive colours and references for our customers.

LUENGOPOL DO

•    Luengopol DO products are dispersions of organic and inorganic pigments over a high-performance DOTP (dioctyl terephthalate) plasticiser, which is widely recognised in the industry for its excellent balance between efficiency and environmental properties.

•    Luengopol DO products are a safe and high-quality alternative to other traditional plasticisers, and are especially valued in applications where durability, thermal stability and extraction resistance are critical. In addition, the low volatility of the products reduces the risk of plasticiser loss through evaporation, maintaining product quality over the long term. Their non-toxic classification makes them suitable for application in contact with food and children's toys.

•    The products in the Luengopol DO range can be offered as unit dispersions within a customised tinting system or formulated end products that conform to the main market charts, such as RAL and NCS. It is also possible to develop exclusive colours and references for our customers.

LUENGOPOL DH

•    The products in the Luengopol DH range are organic and inorganic pigment dispersions on DINCH. A phthalate-free plasticiser that exhibits broad compatibility with different types of polymers, maintains its physical and chemical properties even at high temperatures and withstands exposure to humid environments without significant degradation.

•    Luengopol DH products are developed for application in adhesives and sealants, cast elastomers, polymers including PVC, polyurethanes and rubbers and cast polymer applications. They are also suitable for use with urethane in RIM (reaction injection moulding) processes. 

•    The products in the Luengopol DH range can be offered as unit dispersions within a customised tinting system or formulated end products that conform to the main market charts, such as RAL and NCS. It is also possible to develop exclusive colours and references for our customers.

LUENGOPOL DI

•    The products in the Luengopol DI range are dispersions of organic and inorganic pigments over the DINP (Di-isononyl phthalate) plasticiser. DINP is used as a plasticising agent and is mainly used as an additive in plastics to make them more flexible.   

•    Luengopol DI products are designed to be applied in the manufacture of flexible plastics such as PVC, but are also suitable for use in adhesives and sealants or other polymer and elastomer applications.

•    The products in the Luengopol DI range can be offered as unit dispersions within a customised tinting system or formulated end products that conform to the main market charts, such as RAL and NCS. It is also possible to develop exclusive colours and references for our customers.

LUENGOPOL PA

•    The products in the Luengopol PA range are dispersions of organic and inorganic pigments on a polyetheramine with an average molecular weight of 2000. Polyetheramine D-2000 is fully miscible in a wide variety of solvents, but only slightly soluble in water.

•    Luengopol PA products are suitable for broad use in polyurethane and polyurea applications because Polyetheramine D-2000 can react like typical primary amines due to its fast reaction with isocyanates.
