Pigments for industrial floors

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pigments are used to colour cement and mortar?

Cement, mortar and microcement are coloured with pigment dispersions compatible with alkaline systems. Luengo Color's Lucarex, Oxinyl and Organyl ranges are recommended for these substrates, offering stable shades that resist the alkalinity of cement, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and weathering. The Epoxy range is also available for applications requiring high chemical resistance.

Which colorants are best suited to industrial floor paint?

For industrial floor paint, Luengo Color's Epoxy or Luengopol ranges are recommended: pigment preparations based on 100% solids epoxy resin, designed for coatings with high mechanical, chemical and wear resistance. They are compatible with two-component epoxy systems and polyurea coatings. The solvent-based Industrial range is also a suitable option for floors requiring solvent-borne formulations.

Can floor pigments withstand heavy traffic and abrasion?

Yes, provided they are used in formulations designed specifically for floors. Luengo Color's flooring pigments are selected for their resistance to abrasion, compression and mechanical wear. The key is to combine the right pigment with the appropriate binder (epoxy, polyurea or polyurethane) and to follow the manufacturer's recommended concentrations to ensure the technical performance of the system. For this purpose, we recommend the Industrial, Epoxy and Luengopol ranges.

Can Luengo Color pigments be used in microcement?

Yes. Luengo Color's water-based pigment dispersions are compatible with microcement systems, in both the base coat and the finishing coat. The Lucarex range, for example, is suitable for cements and mortars and offers vivid, exterior-resistant shades. For through-coloured microcements, we recommend consulting our technical team to adjust the concentration to the desired aesthetic result.

Is there a specific pigment range for epoxy flooring systems?

Yes. Luengo Color's Epoxy range consists of pigment preparations formulated on 100% solids epoxy resin, designed to be incorporated directly into two-component epoxy systems for industrial floors. They are particularly suitable for industrial buildings, garages, cleanrooms and any application requiring a floor with high chemical and mechanical resistance and a uniform, long-lasting colour finish.
